Three Red Foxes Named To Men's All-MAAC Lacrosse Team

Poughkeepsie, NY - The Marist College men's lacrosse team had three players honored with selection to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Second Team, it was announced this evening at the pre-tournament banquet held at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. Marist seniors Paul Donohue (Fair Lawn, NJ) and Steve Willemin (Farmingdale, NY), along with sophomore Jay Nahama (Hampton, NJ) were all selected to the All-MAAC Second Team.

Donohue, who graduates as the school's all-time leading point and goal scorer, was named to the attack lineup of the second team. He was the Red Foxes leading scorer this spring, as he touched net 32 times, while assisting on 20 others for 52 total points.

Willemin was a member of the Red Foxes defensive unit, and was named to the Pre-Season All-MAAC squad as well. This spring he tallied 39 groundballs in his 13 games played, all starts.

Nahama was third on the team with his 28 total points. He was second on the team with his 19 assists, while adding nine goals of his own. He started in all 13 games he played, while picking up 19 groundballs.

Marist finished the season at 4-9 overall and 3-4 in MAAC play, missing out on the postseason, by one game, finishing fifth in the league.
