Poughkeepsie, NY - Marist College dropped their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game 2-0 to Loyola today. The Red Foxes are now 1-1-0 for MAAC play while Loyola moves 2-1-0 on the season.

The Red Foxes would continually press the Greyhounds out shooting them 14-9 however could not place the ball in the net.

The game would be scoreless as the two teams returned to the field for the second half of play. The Greyhounds would be the first on the board at 69:53 when sophomore midfielder John Dalziel (Lawrenceville, GA/Brookwood) took a direct kick from 18 yards that landed in the upper left corner of the Red Foxes net. Loyola would score their final score of the game at 88:39 on a lone breakaway by sophomore forward Vinnie Piscopo (Oakhurst, NJ/Ocean Twp).

Sophomore forward Bruno Machado (Danbury, CT/Danbury) and midfielder Kyle Nunes (Ossining, NY/Ossining) both led the Red Fox offensive attack with two shots on goals apiece.

The Red Foxes will be on the road this weekend as they head north to face Niagara Friday and Canisius on Sunday.
