Softball Falls to Texas Tech 5-4 in Extra Innings

El Paso, TX- The Red Foxes suffered another tough loss on the road, falling to Texas 5-4 this afternoon.

The Red Foxes (3-13) took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh but the Red Raiders (13-16) tied the score plating a run. Marist was able to regain the lead in the top of the eighth but Texas Tech added two runs in the bottom of the inning to capture the victory.

Freshman Nicole Sciacca went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, while junior Allison Bartley went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Senior Elizabeth Moyer pitched seven and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on 10 hits while striking out four.

The Red Foxes will be back in action on March 18th as they travel to Delaware State University.
