Bronx, NY-The Marist College women's softball team dropped a pair of games to the host Rams at the Fordham Tournament this afternoon.

In the opening game, the Red Foxes fell 5-2 to the Rams. Fordham got on the board early, taking 4-0 lead into the fifth inning. Lyndsay Ward homered to left to open the inning. Freshman Nicole Sciacca followed with a bunt to first and later scored on a Jasmery Polanco single to left. The Rams Katie Davis added another run for Fordham with a solo shot to center to make it 5-2.

In the second game, the Red Foxes scattered three hits over five innings as they fell 9-0. Fordham took an early 2-0 lead off of Ward and then exploded for seven runs on six hits, including a two-run homer by Davis.

The Red Foxes (2-6) will be at the New Mexico State Invitation March 12-14 followed by March 16th meetings against the University of Texas-El Paso and Texas Tech.
