POUGHKEEPSIE , N.Y.- On Sunday afternoon, Phil Bannister and the Loyola Greyhounds proved to be too much for the Marist Red Foxes, winning by a 4-0 final. Bannister had two goals and assist, and keeper Milos Kocic won his ninth decision in goal for Loyola.

Rookie keeper Tom DeBenedetto (Paramus, N.J.) took the loss in net for Marist. He faced a barrage of Loyola shots and had no chance on many of them. DeBenedetto made three saves on the day.

Marist freshman Joe Touloumis (Cranford, N.J.) got off several good shots but wasn't able to find the back of the net. Kocic made five saves for Loyola.

The loss drops Marist to 3-5-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the MAAC. Loyola moves to 9-2 overall and 2-0 in the MAAC.

The Red Foxes will return to action on Friday, October 12th, when they visit Niagara. After the match against Niagara, Marist will visit Canisius on October 14th. They return home for Siena on October 20th.
