POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Junior defensive end Terrence Fede (Nyack, N.Y.) of the Marist football team has earned a College Football Performance Award in the Honorable Mention category for his efforts against Drake on Saturday, Oct. 29. It was the second award in as many days for Fede, who was named Pioneer Football League (PFL) Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday.
Against Drake, Fede registered 11 total tackles, including three sacks and four stops for a loss of yardage. On the season, he leads Marist with 14 tackles for losses and 8.5 sacks. Fede is also second on the Red Foxes with 59 total tackles. His sack total is the most by a Red Fox in the last eight seasons.
The Marist football team (3-6 overall, 2-4 PFL) will host Valparaiso (0-8, 0-5) on Saturday at noon. The contest will be the home finale for the Red Foxes, who will honor their senior class beforehand. For ticket information, contact the Marist Ticket Office at (845) 575-3553.
