POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Sophomore punter
Ethan Yuska of the Marist University football team earned Honorable Mention for Stats Perform Football Championship Subdivision National Special Teams Player of the Week.
On Saturday at Butler, Yuska averaged 45.8 yards both gross and net on five punts on Saturday on Butler, with two dropped inside the 20. His punts traveled, in succession, 44, 49, 43, 44, and 49 yards, and none were returned. One was downed at the Butler 9, and another was fair caught at the Butler 12.
On the season, Yuska is averaging 40.9 yards on 21 punts. He has three punts of over 50 yards, with a long of 52. He has dropped five inside the 20, with zero touchbacks.
This is the fourth time this season a Red Fox has earned National Player of the Week recognition:

Marist (2-2 overall, 0-1 Pioneer Football League) returns to action on Saturday, when the Red Foxes host San Diego (3-2, 1-0, receiving votes in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll) at Tenney Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is set for noon, and this game will be part of Family Weekend at Marist.
