ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The men's swimming and diving team dropped to fourth place after day two of competition at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships with 283.0 points.
Junior Sean Sullivan (Huntington, N.Y.) posted a fifth place finish in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 3:59.52.
In the100-yard backstroke, junior Dylan Cummings (Midland Park, N.J.) placed sixth with a time of 50.27. Sophomore Caleb Camp (Chapel Hill, N.C.) placed 11th (52.29), junior Brendan McCarthy (West Chester, Pa.) took 12th (52.41), and freshman Chris Penteck (Holbrook, NY.) claimed 15th (53.20)
Also for the Red Foxes, freshman Ryan Murphy (New Fairfield, Conn.) took 12th place in 1:41.73 in the 200-yard freestyle, while junior Jason Ruddy (Lake Katrine, N.Y.) placed 14th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.41. Junior Nick Vandermolen placed 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 57.52.
The 200-yard medley relay team claimed a fifth place finish in 1:32.74, while the 800-freestyle relay team claimed a seventh place finish with a time of 6:50.19.
The team kicks off the final day of the ECAC Championships of preliminaries tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
