BUFFALO, New York – The men's swimming and diving completed a successful Metro Atlantic Athletic Championship, breaking seven school record and finishing in second place overall with 668 points.

The men had one of their best overall events in the 1650 free where
Evan Nilsson won the event with a school record time of 15:29.81.
John Hurley and
Michael O'Donovan also placed in the top five, placing third and fourth.

After breaking the school record, Nilsson finished third in the 200 back with a time of 1:49.38. Nilsson finished the weekend placing top 3 in all of his individual events. Senior McDowell added a fifth place finish.

Daniel Knoll capped off a strong individual performance breaking a second school record at the meet. Knoll finished in the 100 free in third with a time of 44.95 seconds. Â
Miguel Madeira finished a couple spots behind him in sixth place.

Murray Coueslant followed up a school record performance earlier in the day with a second place finish in the 200 fly.

Peter Gallino capped off the week's diving events with a third place finish scoring 307.05.

Despite not meeting the goal of a first place finish, Marist closed the point gap between MAAC powerhouse Rider and bring back a young talented team for next year's MAAC Championships.

The Red Foxes travel to Piscataway, NJ for Eastern Conference Athletic Conference. The event takes place February 23-25.

Jackson Klarsfeld and Samuel Presgraves locking a spot. Oser finished the highest in fourth with a time of 2:04.39.
