EDISON, New Jersey – Marist women's tennis freshman
Julia Gabay was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. It's first time in her career she has received the honor.

Julia Gabay went a perfect 4-0 for the Red Foxes playing from the second doubles and second singles position as Marist earned wins against Lafayette and Colgate.

Against Lafayette Gabay won both her matches, teaming up with
Sam Galu to defeat Lafayette's Grace Conrod and Meredith Block, 7-6 (4), and then in singles play defeated Sam Snyder in a three set match in an overall 6-1 Marist win.

In her second two matches of the weekend, Gabay and Galu again teamed up to defeat Bucknell's Emilie Bush and Sofia Ayuso, 6-2. Gabay then won her singles match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, over Paige Leavy.

Up next, the Red Foxes will travel to West Point to take on Army on Saturday, March 3rd. First serve is scheduled at 4 P.M.
