POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist volleyball team will close out its regular season this weekend with two final games at McCann Arena. The Red Foxes will host the Iona Gaels on Friday, November 15 at 7 p.m., and then they will host the Manhattan Jaspers on Saturday, November 16 at 6 p.m. Marist has clinched a berth to the MAAC Championships, but will be playing this weekend to determine seeding. Senior night ceremonies will take place prior to Saturday's match vs Manhattan at approximately 5:45 p.m.

- The trio will be honored before Saturday night's game against Manhattan. Ceremonies will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m.

- All three of this year's seniors have had a massive impact on the program, through both their play and their leadership. All three are cemented in Marist's program records as some of the best Red Foxes in the team's history. .
- Fergus began her career by being named the MAAC Rookie of the Year and to the All-MAAC Second Team in 2016. Flash forward to 2019, and Fergus is now fourth on the program's all-time kills list, and seventh on the program's all-time total blocks list. She has already tallied 374 kills this season, which is the eight most ever tallied in a single year.
- DeSerpa was named to the All-MAAC First Team in both 2017 and 2018. Both of those seasons, her kill totals ranked in the top-10 in program history for kills in a season (364 in 2017 and 360 in 2018.) She has had one of the best outside hitters in program history, now sitting in sixth place on Marist's all-time kills list.
- Stone has been an anchor in the middle of the court for Marist for all four years of her career. The middle blocker sits in ninth place on the program's all-time kills list, sitting right behind Fergus on the list. She tallied 10 total blocks in a single match in 2017 against Quinnipiac, which is tied for the third most total blocks in a match in program history. Stone has been named to the MAAC All-Academic Team each of the past two seasons.
- On Sunday, November 10, the Red Foxes were defeated by the Canisius Golden Griffins in a five-set battle in Buffalo.
- DeSerpa led the attack with 15 kills in the match, following up the previous match where she set a new season-high of 20 kills against Niagara.
- Skylar Harrison tallied a career-high 11 kills and four service aces.
- Halle Carter totaled a career-high five service aces to go along with 44 assists.
- Leah Simmons tallied 15 kills for the Golden Griffins, helping her team grab the win.
- The Red Foxes last played the Gaels on October 19, and Marist defeated Iona in four sets.
- The highlight of the match came from Gabby Murray, who smacked 15 kills on 18 attempts, which was good for a .833 hitting percentage. This was tied for the highest hitting percentage in a single match (minimum 18 attempts) in the entire NCAA this season. It was also the highest hitting percentage of any Red Fox (minimum 15 kills) in the last 10 years.
- McKinley Fox had a career night, posting a career-high 50 assists, while tallying her second double-double in a row with 12 digs.
- Fergus tallied a career-high four service aces in the win.
- The Red Foxes had nine different players tally a kill, the most this season.
- The Gaels are 5-21 overall on the year, with a 5-11 record in the MAAC. They have not won a non-conference game all season.
- Iona comes into Friday's match on a two-game winning streak, and hope to continue it into the weekend.
- Last time out, the Gaels swept the Jaspers on Saturday, November 9.
- Jamie Smith leads Iona this season with 256 kills. She also has 167 assists and 64 total blocks.
- Samantha Juran is the primary setter for the Gaels, and averages 5.42 assists per set.
- The Red Foxes played Manhattan on Sunday, October 20, which was the day after they played Iona earlier in the year. Marist defeated the Jaspers in four sets.
- Fergus had the best match of her career, posting a career-high 24 kills to go with nine digs, falling one dig short of a double-double.
- Fox followed up her 50 assists in the game prior with 48 more assists against Manhattan.
- Every single Marist player who saw the court in the game (11 total players) tallied at least one dig.
- Julia Menocal and Vivian Donovan each had 14 kills to lead Manhattan's attack.
- Manhattan comes into the weekend with a 7-22 overall record, and a 4-12 MAAC record.
- The Jaspers are coming off a huge five-set victory over the Rider Broncs on Wednesday, November 13.
- Prior to that match, Manhattan had lost five games in a row. The Jaspers have won just two of their last eight matches in total.
- Menocal has led Manhattan's attack for the majority of the season, averaging 2.5 kills per set on a .157 hitting percentage.
- Abby Wilde is the Jasper's primary setter, averaging 7.3 assists per set.
- Erin Hoener has accumulated 100 total blocks on the season.
The MAAC Championships will take place from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24. Marist's seed and opponent are yet to be determined.
