GREENWOOD, Indiana – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) placed Marist Men's Soccer senior captain
Michael Lorello on the 2019 Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Thursday.

Lorello earned the honor for the second-consecutive season. He is one of four MAAC student-athletes to be named to an Academic All-District Team. The Melville, NY native is one of four midfielders on the NCAA Division I District I team, which includes student-athletes from programs based in Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

The senior is majoring in Business Administration at Marist. He has a goal and assist on the season, having scored the game-winner against Saint Joseph's on September 14. Lorello advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, and the honorees for that distinction will be announced in early December.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games, completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution, and have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
