POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Director of Athletics
Tim Murray announced on Tuesday that the Marist football program will take on Army West Point on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 at historic Michie Stadium.
This will mark the first time in program history that Marist will face a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent.
"This is an exciting game for our players, alumni, and everyone associated with the Marist football program," Marist head coach
Jim Parady said. "We've admired the Army program and all of its success for a long time. It's a great opportunity to play against a storied program right here in the Hudson Valley. With recruiting, everyone wants to compete against the highest level. This will help us as we talk about where the program is going, being able to play an FBS school for the first time."
The Army football program has won three national championships in its storied history, with titles in 1944, 1945, and 1946. The Black Knights rank tied for 29
th all-time among FBS schools with 706 wins in its history. The program has played in bowl games in four of the last five years. Michie Stadium was ranked #3 in Sports Illustrated's Top 20 Venues of the 20
th century (published in 1999), and #7 in Sports Illustrated's Top 10 College Venues, which covered all sports (published in 2007).
"Any opportunity for our student-athletes to play against West Point is cherished," Murray said. "We have the utmost respect for the United States Military Academy and its athletics program. This is a great opportunity for our student-athletes, and a building block for our football program."
