POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference released postseason awards on Wednesday morning for men's lacrosse, and the Red Foxes were well represented.
Joe Tierney was selected to the All-MAAC First Team, while
Jamison Embury was picked for the All-MAAC Second Team. Meanwhile, rookie goalkeeper
Logan Covey received All-MAAC Rookie Team honors.Â
Additionally, Marist had 18 total selections to the MAAC All-Academic team this season, besting last season's mark of 15. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher.

- This is the first All-MAAC First Team selection of Tierney's career.Â
- Tierney was selected to wear #34 for the second straight year prior to the start of the 2021 season, honoring the legacy of the late Eddie Coombs.Â
- The midfielder has scored two goals in 2021, and has dished out three assists in leading the offense.Â
- His other stats include five total points, a .182 shot percentage, one man-up goal, and two ground balls.Â
- Tierney had been named to the All-MAAC Second Team twice in his career, as well as to the All-MAAC Rookie Team in 2017.

- This is the first All-MAAC Second Team selection of Embury's career.
- Embury had a stellar campaign for the Red Foxes, as he finished second on the team in goals, assists, and points.Â
- For the year, Embury totaled seven goals, four assists, and 11 points. One of those goals was man-up, and he also added two ground balls.Â
- The junior was also featured on SportseCenter's top-10 for a behind the back pass which found his brother Hunter Embury and led to a goal against Quinnipiac.Â
- This is also the first postseason accolade that Embury has received from the MAAC in his career. As a freshman, he was named to the MAAC All-Championship team during Marist's MAAC Championship run, and he was also named to the College Crosse Honorable Mention All-Freshman Team.Â

- Being a freshman, this is the first MAAC postseason award of Covey's career.
- This season, Covey has picked up three victories, accumulating a total of 41 saves in just three games. His save percentage was .603. He also had four ground balls.Â
- In his first career game and start, Covey notched a career-high 14 saves against Detroit Mercy, allowing just two goals in the fourth quarter. He became the first freshman goalkeeper to start a game for Marist since Brian Corrigan in 2014 and Dave Scarcello in 2012.Â
- Covey was also named MAAC Rookie of the Week back on Mar. 12 for his performance in the season opener against the Detroit Mercy Titans.Â
