Miah McDonald and graduate shortstop
Caroline Baratta of the Marist softball team were both honored by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).
McDonald was named to the All-ECAC Team, and Baratta earned Honorable Mention. Both were named First Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) this season.
McDonald led the MAAC in RBIs in the 2022 season with 47. She was also second in the conference with 24 stolen bases as she led the Red Foxes with a .379 batting average. McDonald belted seven home runs and also contributed 10 doubles, four triples, and 37 runs scored. She was named MAAC Player of the Week twice this season, and was named to the MAAC All-Championship Team.
The 2022 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, Baratta finished the year ranked second in the MAAC in home runs (10), runs batted in (38), and runs scored (40). She was named First Team All-MAAC for the fourth straight year, and finished her career as the program's all-time hits leader (241). Baratta was named CoSIDA Academic All-District for the second straight season as well.
This year's list of ECAC honorees includes student-athletes from the following conferences in addition to the MAAC: Big Ten, Big East, Ivy League, Patriot League, Colonial Athletic Association, and America East
