POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Graduate shortstop Miah McDonald and red-shirt junior infielder Haley Ahr of the Marist University softball team were both ranked in D1Softball's Top 100 List.
 
McDonald is #55, and Ahr is #96.
 
This is the second time both McDonald and Ahr have been ranked in a Top 100 list. Last Monday, McDonald was #45 and Ahr was #96 in a list presented by Softball America.
 
McDonald is a two-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She was also named ECAC Player of the Year and First Team NFCA All-Region this season. McDonald led the NCAA in total bases, ranked second in home runs and runs, was third in slugging percentage, and was ranked in the top 25 in 11 total categories. She set Marist's single-season record for home runs with 28, a total that included four in NCAA Regional play. McDonald broke the program's career records for hits, home runs, runs scored, RBIs, and triples this season, and set the MAAC's career records in runs and RBIs.
 
Ahr's .508 batting average led the NCAA, and set a single-season program record. She ranked sixth in hits, 11^th in on-base percentage, and 14^th in toughest to strike out in the country. She earned a First Team All-MAAC honor for the third straight year, and she has been named NFCA All-Region each of the last three years, with a First Team honor the past two seasons. Additionally, Ahr was named All-ECAC.
 
Marist won a program-record 48 games in the 2025 season. The Red Foxes captured the MAAC regular-season and tournament championships, and they secured their first victory in NCAA Regional play in program history.
