Livia Wiltsie of the Marist University softball team was named Jersey Mike's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
Wiltsie hit .429 (6-for-14) with four RBIs and three runs scored in Marist's four games this weekend at the USF Invitational. She had three two-hit games, as she achieved that feat against Boston College, South Florida, and Saint Joseph's.
Wiltsie went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored against Boston College on Friday. That night, she went 2-for-3 with a run scored against South Florida. On Saturday, she delivered a two-run single against Saint Joseph's as she went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
On the season, Wiltsie is hitting .387 with nine runs scored, six RBIs, and two stolen bases.
This is Wiltsie's first career MAAC weekly award, and it is the fourth earned by a Red Fox through the first three weeks of the season:
Marist returns to action this weekend at the Garnet & Black Invitational, hosted by the University of South Carolina. The Red Foxes will play five games from Friday through Sunday. They will take South Carolina twice, UAB twice, and Queens University of Charlotte once.
