POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist University men's soccer sophomore Adriano Iannello and junior Gijs Verheul were selected to the 2026 Preseason All-Metro Team, as announced by the conference on Thursday.

Iannello was named to the All-MAAC Third Team following his freshman campaign. He posted three goals and a team-leading five assists across 16 matches, starting every contest. Iannello also led the Red Foxes with three game-winning goals, scoring the deciding goals against UAlbany, Lehigh, and Quinnipiac.

Verheul earned All-MAAC Second Team honors as a sophomore after ranking second on the team in both goals (six) and points (13) while appearing in 14 matches. He recorded multiple points in two contests, scoring twice in a win over Fordham and adding a goal and an assist in a victory against Quinnipiac.

As a team, the Red Foxes were selected to finish tied for fifth with Quinnipiac, with both teams receiving 109 points. Sacred Heart was picked first with 156 points, followed by Siena with 151, Iona with 143, and Fairfield with 135.
