POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Our fourth and final installment of the Marist softball season preview takes a look at the team's outfielders.

Heading into her senior season,
Ali Milam is a Preseason All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference selection. Milam has been named First Team All-MAAC each of the last two seasons, in which she combined to hit .355 with 20 home runs and 101 runs batted in. She is a consistent threat in the heart of the batting order who started 56 of Marist's 57 games last season in right field. Milam is also in the mix to see some action at first base this year, which she played in last year's MAAC final.

Junior
Hunter Hand played all three outfield positions last season, and made 38 starts in center last year. Hand increased her slugging percentage 88 points from freshman to sophomore year, and has shown her talented on the base paths (15 career stolen bases) and laying down bunts (seven sacrifices last year). Hand has also played third base in her career.

Two sophomore Red Foxes –
Hailee Jantorno and
Alyssa Yarem – are in contention for playing time both in the infield and outfield. Jantorno played both left and center field last year, and will contend for the starting role at second base as well. She had a .344 on-base percentage last year. Yarem, who made a couple of starts in left field last year, is also in the mix at first base.

Sophomore
Brooke Gastin joined the Red Foxes midway through last season, and appeared in nine games as a pinch-runner last year.

Hannah Brock, a freshman left-handed hitter from Spokane, Washington, will contend for playing time in the outfield.
Shea Walsh, a freshman left-handed hitter from Robbinsville, New Jersey, will also be vying for at-bats in the outfield. Walsh is also a candidate to see playing time behind the plate.

Casey Page, who started 167 games in the outfield during her four-year career with the Red Foxes, has graduated. Page ranks fourth in program history with 42 career stolen bases. Utility player
Madison Lee, who was Marist's primary first baseman last year but made 28 career outfield starts, has also graduated.
