POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Two Marist University softball players are ranked in D1Softball's Preseason Mid-Major D100 Player Rankings.
Graduate infielder
Haley Ahr is #9, and senior outfielder
Peyton Pusey is #62.
Last week, Ahr was ranked
#96 in D1Softball's Top 100 Players list that encompasses all of Division I. She led the nation in batting average last year (.508), and she also ranked in the top 15 in total hits (seventh, 90), on-base percentage (11
th, .556), and toughest to strike out (14
th, once every 35.4 at bats). Ahr was a Second Team College Sports Communicators Academic All-American last season, and she has been named First Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference each of the last three years.
Pusey led the NCAA in both runs scored (82) and runs per game (1.44) last season. Her runs scored total set MAAC and program records. She also ranked 10
th in the NCAA in hits (87) as she hit .429 with 10 home runs, 25 runs batted in, 14 doubles, and 15 stolen bases. Pusey has been a First Team All-MAAC selection each of the past two seasons.
Coming off its highest win total and first win at NCAA Regionals in program history, Marist opens the 2026 season on Friday, Feb. 6 in tournament play at Charleston Southern.
