POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-Stephanie Miksch, a senior Business Administration major with a concentration in Finance and a member of the Marist women's volleyball team has been selected to participate in the second annual Women's Finance Bootcamp that will be held at the UBS Investment Banking headquarters in Stamford, Conn. on Saturday, July 29.
The 6-0 outside hitter was fourth on the team last season with 150 kills and third in service aces with 28.
Miksch, an Austin, Tx. native, is currently participating in an internship this summer in the Marist Human Resources Office after completing an internship in London, England at Islington Enterprises Agency while she studied abroad in spring 2006.
The Bootcamp offers an intensive and experiential opportunity to develop the knowledge, tools and skills needed for a successful career in finance.
The curriculum will include substantive workshops devoted to job preparation, problem solving, and finance skills. The curriculum will also focus on issues related to women in the workplace including, sexual harassment, managing competitiveness, and creating effective support and networking systems.
The sessions will be led by Harvard Business School Graduate and AlumniAthlete Network CEO, Ronald Mitchell, as well as top female executives at UBS, one of the premier investment banks in the world.
More than 25 colleges will be participating in this program and this is the first time that Marist has received an invitation.
