Sam Ahlgrim of the Marist men's lacrosse team has been Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.Â
Ahlgrim is in his third season as a starter. He has played in all 39 of Marist's games since the 2018 season. In the Red Foxes' season opener, a 15-11 triumph over Detroit Mercy, Ahlgrim registered four ground balls - the most of any non face-off specialist on the Red Foxes - and also had a team-high two caused turnovers.
Ahlgrim is a three-time selection to the MAAC All-Academic team and a seven-time selection to Marist's Dean's List. He majored in Communication as an undergraduate and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communication.
This is the fourth time this school year a Marist student-athlete has been named MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week. Here are the previous honorees:
