Claire Oberdorf of softball and women's basketball is Female Co-Sportsperson of the Year.

- Senior CLASS Award candidate, 2020
- Five-time MAAC Weekly Award winner
- Ranks in the top 10 in softball program history in five categories: third in stolen bases (50), tied for sixth in triples (seven), seventh in batting average (.329), 10th in runs scored (106), 10th in RBIs (105).
- Ranked 23rd in the NCAA in minutes played, 2016-17 basketball season
- Played in 264 total games (167 softball, 97 basketball)

- Previously was named the Advantage Strength & Conditioning Award Winner.
- The only other time a female student-athlete won Sportsperson of the Year and the Advantage Strength & Conditioning Award came in 2002. Diesa Seidel of women's basketball earned both honors in the first year of the Strength & Conditioning award.
- This is the third time in the last five years a softball player has won Sportsperson of the Year, and fourth time overall.
- The last time a member of the softball team won the award was Gabrielle Kelliher in 2018.
- With Rebekah Hand sharing the award with Oberdorf, the women's basketball program has won the award a record 16 times.

Marist's Sportsperson of the Year Award has been given annually since 1969, the longest standing award in the history of the Athletics Department. From 1969-84, the award was given to the top individual in the class as a result of an outstanding career in his/her sport. Since 1985, the Sportsperson of the Year Award has been given to the top male and female student-athlete(s) in the class based on outstanding achievement in their sports.
